This weekend my alma matter hosted our 20 year reunion. It's a long way to haul, but the allure of spending a weekend with some of my dearest friends won
Of the 5 day trip, 48 hours were in planes and airports. May as well take advantage of the time - let's play a little game....
The 3 airports - Kiev, Munich and San Francisco each have their own distinct personality. Can you match the environment, people & food to their city???
City A:
Conservative shoes and bright pants
Free coffee stations!!!
(A late flight = an extra 5 hours in this airport = many refills for me)
OK, now to make it easy....
National costumes for sale
Traditional fare
Ja! Welcome to MUC - Munich airport
If you're going to get stuck somewhere, this is the airport to do so -
shopping & restaurants galore!
City B:
This one looked a bit different.....
Leave behind fashion for comfort
Green airport
Sour dough for sale
AND, Airport sushi so good there's a line....
...and nothing left for me to show
Yep - the city with runways that look like it'll be a water landing - San Francisco!
City C:
Jet ways still the exciting exception.
Fashion trumps practicality:
How's this for a 45 degrees out dress
Check out these 'walking between terminals shoes'!
No yoga pants and t-shirts for these moms...
Men with fur and murses......
Matrioshkas for sale
Food not featured because it's too bleak to buy
Yep - welcome to our home town airport!
How'd you do?
The journey wasn't bad - but catching up with people, places & foods missed were what really made it worth it
Cheers to enjoying the journey - as well as - the destination
